Nonscaring alopecia, photosensitivity, oral ulcers, and malar rash were among the cutaneous manifestation, which were having highly significant association (P<0.0001) with the presence of systemic involvement (in decreasing order of odds favoring the association with SLE). Similar observation was noted by Parodi et al.[11] and Tebbe et al.[3] though the associations were not found to be that strong in their study population.
